Our kids thought they were looking rather nice for church and decided to pose for some pictures. It was fun watching them twirl around and pose as if they were in a fashion show. Kids are so funny sometimes.

Halie's Birthday

Halie finally turns four! It seems like she was three forever. We had a small party. Sky and Jen came over for cake and ice cream. We had a great time.

Deni and Peyton had their second birthday on the 16th. We had Luke, Lori, Kassidy, Dallas, Kelly, Janey, Olivia, Grandma Patty, Ryan, Grandma, Grandpa and Joe all over to help us celebrate this HUGE milestone in all our lives.

Christmas Eve!!!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's for Christmas Eve. It is a tradition that we all look forward too. The kids were so excited all day and could hardly wait to go and open presents. It was a huge surprise for them to see Santa there. Once again Grandma and Grandpa out did themselves. Skyler and Jen drew our family name and bought us a great set of bound Ensigns and Friends. They also got each one of the kids a stocking full of gifts. It was a great evening.

Halie's Preschool Christmas Program

Halie had her first school program, and needless to say she could have cared less. She refused to sing or even attempt to enjoy any of it. She didn't even care that Santa made an appearance.

Christmas Tree 2008

We spent last Sunday decorating our Christmas tree. It was the first time that Deni and Peyton were involved in the process. We had a great deal of fun listening to Christmas music and taking out all of our decorations. Christmas is so much fun when there are little ones around to share in the excitement.

Thanksgiving!

We were so busy Thanksgiving day that these are the only pictures I took. As you can see Deni and Peyton were feeling like they had been forgotten. It was a lot of fun spending time with Marv, Karen, Jake, Dylon, Kalob, Mindy, Matt, Ryan, Patty and Gary. It was the first time we had ever hosted Thanksgiving dinner. What a LOT of WORK!!!

Halie's First Preschool Party

Halie had her first big preschool party. She was able to wear her costume to school. As you can see she was Belle off Beauty and The Beast. She truly felt like a princess.

Mackenzie's Birthday

Mackenzie turned six on the 21st of October. We had a small family get together. Everyone that could make it came. As usual she got more then she needed.

Idaho State Fair!!!

We took the kids to the fair Saturday night and had a great time. We went to see all the animals and were able to pet most of them. They were scared of the longhorn cows. The girls had to have their faces painted. They saw a clown and thought she was the greatest thing they had seen all night. We also had to have pictures taken with all the cut outs. We had a great time.

Frist Day of Kindergarten

Mackenzie's first day of kindergarten was on August 21. She was a little on the nervous side, but soon got over that. I had to go with her for an hour the first day. Her first full day was on the 26th. She had fun taking a lunch and being able to go all day. It made her feel all grown up.

MacKenzie begged her Dad to help her build Sophie a dog house and he got it finished yesterday. It looks kind of crappy and he still needs to shingle it, but the kids loved it. They all piled in to see what it looked like from the inside.

American Idol (Lawnmower Style)

We were working outside yesterday when we heard Deni Mae singing really loud. We turned around and found her singing into the gear-shift knob on the riding lawnmower as if it were a microphone. She sang for a long time before we decided to get the video camera. Notice the look she gives the camera at the very end of her performance. We asked her what she was signing and she said, "Hannah".

Fourth of July

We all went camping over the Forth of July. We had a great time. We had so much fun that I didn't get a lot of pictures! We wish everyone could have been there!

Our new family toy! We're up to our eyeballs in debt for it, but we had a blast cruising around on this bad boy! :-)

I finally found the cord to my camera, so here are a few pictures from our camping trip above Crouch. They have a hot spring and the kids had a great time swimming!

Deni was watching us work outside Saturday when her brother decided that he wanted to see what was going on also. The pictures tell the story!

Twins are a lot of fun, but there are issues we face with these two that we didn't have to with the two girls. It is fun watching them interact with each other!

Mackenzie and Halie went to the ZOO on a field trip. We had a good time hanging out with Mackenzie's Preschool friends. She had a great time going to preschool this year. Halie is excited that she gets to go next fall.

As you may all know Mackenzie loves Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) and when she heard that Miley had posed for some questionable photos she wanted to write to her. Keep in mind that these are her words. All I did was help with the spelling. We told her to forgive Miley this time, but if it happens again we will stop buying Hannah Montana items.

Rash Boy!

We put some Orajel on Peyton's sore mouth Tuesday night, and when he woke up Wednesday he was covered with this nasty rash. It got worse that afternoon so we took him to the emergency room. Luckily, it was just a rash and nothing worse. It looks worse then it must have felt, because he didn't even scratch.

Yikes!!!

I was getting ready to do Mackenzie's hair for school today and noticed that she had a tick on the back of her head. Sophie has been sleeping with her and I am assuming that is where she got it. Needless to say, Sophie has been ban to the great outdoors for the next while. We first tried to burn it out and then we tried to smoother it out, but none of the above seemed to work. We ended up pulling it out with with the twizzers. It is one nastey looking BUG!!!

Easter Sunday!

Trying to get our kids to pose for a picture is a chore. As you can see we were unable to get a good group picture or individual pictures. We had a very busy day. We went to church and then Grandma Patty, Grandma Osborn, Aunt Crystal, Austin, Jessica, Ryan and Grandma Patty's friend Dave all came over for Easter Dinner. We had a great visit with them. We had a party at our house Saturday with a group of friends. We had a BBQ and Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. It was a lot of fun. Then later in the day the girls went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to color eggs with Kassidy, Dallas and Janey. They had a good time doing that. All in all it was a busy weekend for the Allen's!

Wes has been in California for the past several days, and lucky me, I have been home with sick kids. They have picked up the flu from somewhere (my guess would be church). I think I might ban them from going to the nursery! Peyton is starting to walk a little more each day. He might be walking really well by the end of the month. Deni thinks in her little mind that she is walking because she walks on her knees. I will post some video of both of them when Wes gets home with our camera. Hope everyone is doing well.

Our Little Valentine's Birthday

Halie celebrated her 3rd birthday on Valentine's Day. Wes had the day off, and Mackenzie was in school, so Halie had the day with just Mom and Dad by herself. We had a great time shopping for her birthday present and picking up her cake. We then had a small get together with family. We had a great day.

Guess Who is Finally Potty Trained?

After much difficulty Halie decided to go to the potty on her own. I am giving credit to Kassidy for motivating her to do so. Kassidy was calling her names such as "Pooh Pooh Pants", and "Baby, Baby, Pooh Pooh Head." I guess Halie didn't like being called names and decided to go potty. Thank you Kassidy!

Tooth Fairy Visited the Allen's

We survived the first year with twins! We had a small get together with some family members to celebrate this huge milestone. Grandma Patty, Ryan, Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, Joe, Nick, Mallori, Luke, Lori, Kassidy, Dallas, Skyler, Jen, Kelly, Janey, Mackenzie, Halie, Wes and myself were all there to share in the occasion. What would we ever do without Deni and Peyton in our lives?

Christmas 2007!!!

Santa was extremely good to all of us again this year. It was fun having two more to enjoy Christmas with. It was Deni and Peyton's first Christmas. We were able to spend time with Grandma Patty and Ryan Christmas morning and then again at Wes's Uncle Greg and Aunt Kathy's house that afternoon. We had a great day!

Winter Fun in McCall!

We went to McCall the weekend before Christmas and had a great time playing in the snow and visiting with family. Mom, Dad, Joe, Kelly, Greg, Janey, Skyler, Jen, Nick, Malorie, Wes, Mackenzie, Halie, Deni, Peyton and myself all shared a nice spacious cabin. Wes was able to go snowboarding and the kids and I where able to play on the sled Grandpa bought for everyone to enjoy. Everyone had a lot of fun!

Mackenzie's First School Program!

Mackenzie had her first school program on December 19. She was a little angry with Santa for giving her a book she already had at home. He should have know that she had it already! She was willing to forgive him the night of Christmas Eve. Better late then never!

Halloween 2007 - Trick or Treat!

Halie (Tigger), Dallas (Race Car Driver),

Kassidy (Little Mermaid), Mackenzie (Violet), Deni (Roo), and Peyton (Squirt).

The kids went Trick or Treating with Luke and Lori's kids. They had a great time, as usual.

Halie as Tigger. She wanted to be Tigger from the moment we started looking at costumes.

Mackenzie as Violet. She has wanted to be Violet for the past couple of years. She also won the best costume contest at her dad's work. She won a $25.00 gift certificate!

Happy Birthday!

Mackenzie turned five years old, and for her birthday a bunch of us went on a train ride to a pumpkin patch. It was a little chilly, but we saw some beautiful scenery and had a great time. The kids each got to pick out their very own pumpkin.

Grandma came out and had brownies with us for Kenzie's birthday.

First Day of School!

MacKenzie started pre-school on October 9th. She was very excited. She had a great time and made lots of new friends. She really likes her teachers. Halie was just a little jealous.

Kenzie's class went to the local pumpkin patch the second week of school. Halie got to go along, so that was good.

Summer of 2007

We went camping during the week of July 4th. It was hot and the mosquitos were terrible, and a tire on the camp trailer blew out on the highway, but we had a great time. The fireworks were awesome! We got to watch them from the boat docks just down from our campsite. We had a great time visiting family, and we also went swimming and picked huckleberries. This was the babies' first camping trip!
